[mythtv-users] can TV and monitor co-exist in the same xorg.conf?

I have my myth box (Via M10k) running with a monitor mostly, but I can
also hook it up to a TV. I've got two separate xorg.conf files and
have to manually select which one to use when I swap over, and then
reboot to get the TV output.

I could do a nasty hack and have 'tv' and 'monitor' scripts which
choose the relevant xorg.conf and reboot, but I'd rather have the
system detect the presence or absence of a TV

Is there any way to set up the system to choose (in order of preference)
- output to both TV and monitor. No? didn't think so :-)
- output to TV if it's connected, monitor otherwise?

Can the Via board switch to TV out without having to reboot?

Someone here must have done this already!

Andrew
