[mythtv-users] Soundblaster live and AC3 for MythDVD help

I'm having a similar problem getting AC3 to work. I followed your
instructions as well, and I have the same card you do. Could you post
your .asoundrc? I'm pretty much clueless on what I need to do. I'm
getting sound out the digital output, but it seems to be only 2
channel? Does that make any sense? At least here's what I'm comparing
it to: I have a Sony amp capable of Dolby Digital, a DirecTV/Tivo w/
coax digital audio connection to the amp. The amp is set to auto-detect
the audio stream, so when it's on a regular channel, it outputs PCM
audio automatically. When it's a movie channel or something with a
Dolby Digital stream, it auto switches to Dolby Digital and lights up a
fancy blue light so I know this is true. With Myth, using the same
cable and the same input on the amp, I only get 2 channel audio with it
set to auto-detect. That doesn't seem right? I really don't know where
to go from here, so I appreciate anybody's help and support. I haven't
attempted anything with DVD playback yet, because I'm mainly focusing on
TV right now... one thing at a time!
Thanks,
Michael
