You shouldn't need to be using any de-interlacing when connecting to 
your TV via SVIDEO since your TV is *expecting* an interlaced signal.  
Deinterlacing should only be used on displays not using an interlaced 
format - i.e. LCD screens and plasmas not in an interlaced mode, CRT 
monitors and the like.
