It seems you have a reading or typing problem.

uname -a IS NOT uname -r

Where are the 2 uname commands? You only used an incorrect one.

Get the full verbatim of your action including the exact commands you
perform and do NOT retype anything.

Do things right or pay someone to do them for you. But if you fail to
perform extremly simple commands right there is little hope you will get
anything done.

And unless you run a multiprocessor system you should not use the SMP
kernel! But even so the SMP variant of a recent kernel is present.

The kernel you need to have however is: 2.6.9-1.681_FC3smp

And your package is to get is:
kernel-module-nvidia-graphics6629-2.6.9-1.681_FC3smp-1.0_6629-65.rhfc3.at.i686.rpm

So go and update your kernel first and make sure you boot from THAT
kernel!
