[mythtv-users] MYTH_PROTO_VERSION error

I have the same problem as in other threads, but I could not find a 
solution:

Has anyone figured this out?  I am definitely running the same versions 
of the backend and frontend.  However, anytime anything tries to connect 
to the backend (mythfilldatabase or mythfrontend), I get the dreaded error:
