[mythtv-users] Sata Modules with EPIA kernel

I'm trying to build an EPIA kernel on 2.6.12 using the epia patches.
This is for an SP13000 which has on-board SATA. And that is the problem.
I am using the epialinux.org kernel how-to as a cook-book.

On my first go-around, there was some sort of typo or other error which
caused a fatal error with make: "No such file or directory", part way
through.

On the second go-around, backed up a few steps, un-tar'red and patched
things again, made it through make oldconfig (using the suggested
.config), make all, make bzImage... etc... etc.

And mkinitrd failed with 'No module sata_via found for kernel
2.6.12.3-epia, aborting'.

I went back and re-ran 'make menuconfig' but I cannot find any mention of
sata except one mention which carries the proviso "Useage deprecated in
favour of libsata" or words to that effect.

Can anyone assist me in pointing to where/how I create a module
'sata_via'?

Doing all this is interesting but quite time-consuming!

Geoff
