[mythtv-users] Bootsplash and X issues

This is slightly off topic.

I'm having trouble with my console vanishing after X quits when I  
exit the frontend. I'm running a 2.4.31 kernel patched with the  
bootsplash patches. The system is still fine, but I notice the /proc/ 
splash entry is no longer listed. Has anyone run across this problem  
before? If so, did you find a solution?
