the PVR cards do most of the work for you. :)  the 500 is a great way
to add more tuners to a system at a reasonable cost.  now that the 150
and 500 have decent support with the recent ivtv drivers i'm guessing
they'll be the cards of choice for most ppl.  right now they offer the
best bang for the buck.
