Try setting the audio buffering option. (I don't remember it's exact name.
It's somewhere in the setup.) This solved the same issue with my setup where
both, the backend and the frontend on my laptop, use 802.11g. (Net
throughput just below 1MB/s => ~3.5 GB/h!)
