[mythtv-users] lirc - rigth/left buttons won't work

Why are you using A and D instead of Left and Right in your .lircrc? 
Try the following...

begin
   prog = irxevent
   button = right
   repeat = 3
   config = Key Right CurrentWindow
end

begin
   prog = irxevent
   button = left
   repeat = 3
   config = Key Left CurrentWindow
end
