Sounds more like a driver bug or something.  However, since you didn't
specify anything about the hardware configuration other than the CPU
it's a bit difficult to speculate.  You should look for messages from
your video capture driver around the time this occurred.  Also, does
the mythbackend log report anything unusual around this time?  Maybe
with more info someone might be able to help you.  Try watching that
channel with xawtv (or whatever "simple" tv playback program works
with your capture card) and leave it on that channel... if you can see
it there it isn't likely to be mythtv's doing.

I'm not sure what this would be.  You could try getting a backtrace
per the instructions in the mythtv documentation.
