Except not on at least three Athlon 64 systems (see thread "Optimizing MythTV 
for AMD64").

Ah, didn't know that was the case. I've seen that a time or two on my slower 
frontend. I may have to see if that box can handle the internal decode after 
the processor upgrade...

I've noticed slightly less-smooth video on my secondary box, will have to pay 
attention to smoothness if I can use the internal decoder now...

+1. :-)

The output on my main HD playback box using the internal decoder and Xv output 
is most definitely better, though it helps that its actually hooked to an 
HDTV. My other box is certainly passable though.
