[mythtv-users] Any Plextor ConvertX + Debian/Ubuntu successes?

Just curious if anyone out there has a Plextor ConvertX TV402U and has
it working with debian or a debian derived distro like ubuntu.  I'm
having a nightmare of a time just getting the driver to work.  builds
fine, but the second phase firmware fails to load.  I've been spaming
the divx.com forum most of the day and lutchann has been kind enought
to work with me on the problem.  I'm just wondering if anyone out
there has had any success.  I had the initial driver version running
about a month+ ago right after it's releasae, stayed up to date with
ubuntu's hoary updates, and now I can't get squat to work. (even went
back and tried the original driver)

My goal is to get mythtv on my laptop to use while I'm away in hotels
and the like.  And since myth just got support for the TV402U I'd like
to try it out.
