[mythtv-users] X runs at 90-95%CPU

Hi looking for ideas,


Fedoracore 1
Mythtv 0.16  MSI nvidia grahics card  nvidia driver 
NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6111-pkg1.run from the nvidia download site.
XFree86-4.3.0-55.
S-video output to TV

I have to patch the bttv tuner.c code to support the PVR 250-mce so its a 
customer kernel from the kernel-source-2.4.22-1.2199.nptl_52.rhfc1.at 
sources.  ivtv 0.19 with cardtype and tuner patches.

X will just take off running at a high CPU (90-95%) happens at no 
particular place  watching TV, playing recorded video, myth weather.  crt 
alt delete wont exit X windows.  I have not seen this just under KDE but 
then I dont spend a lot of time just in KDE.

I have to ssh in to the mythtv system kill -9 X (just a kill wont do it) 
and log back in and restart mythfront its back.

No complains in the myth logs or the XFree86.0.log file.

I am leaning twords purchasing a new Video card, but thought I would ask if 
anyone else has run into this issue.  Or any thoughts on how to isolate why 
X runs away?
