Its fairly easy to keep each of these in a separate directory
and build, and if messed up, you just step back to
the prior directory and make install again.

I use ivtv-0.1.10-pre2-ck113a  (fairly recent and
quite good).  I needed something for my 2.6 SuSE
kernel.
