Hi Steven,

Are you sure you are using the correct tuner ?
I had a similar problem, couln't get VT4 and CNN.
When I did a 'modprobe tveeprom' and checked dmesg, it told me my tuner
is type 20, so I've added tuner=20 to the ivtv options and type=20 to
the tuner options. After that it worked like a charm.
