[mythtv-users] strange message / live tv not working

For some reason I can't watch live tv anymore. It broke a day or two 
ago, after it was working. It always tries the pchdtv card first (which 
has worked). Now all I get is a black screen. I ran mythfrontend with 
--verbose all and now I get this message over and over until I kill the 
frontend:

QUERY_RECORDER 3[]:[]IS_RECORDING

What would be causing this? It is a seperate frontend / backend. All 
three cards are showing Not Recording in the mythweb status. I am 
running .16
