[mythtv-users] A few questions about transcoding recordings

Hey all!

I've got a few questions regarding transcoding recordings automatically:

1) Is it possible to set up different transcoding settings based on what 
quality the show was recorded in? I'm recording off PVR-250's, and would 
like to be able to specify that shows recording in "Low Quality" mode will 
be transcoded to MPEG-4 at 800kbit, and shows in "High Quality" mode will 
be transcoded to ~2000kbit.

2) Is there any way to tell if a show has been transcoded or not, besides 
looking at the filesize? If not, would it be possible to have a flag set 
in the database saying if the show has been transcoded or not?
