[mythtv-users] Adding non-nuv files or downloaded files to the recordings screen

Downloaded files can't really be viewed from the Watch Recordings
window, unless maybe you're talking about downloading a .nuv file.  I
imagine that would need to be added to the database somehow, but it
doesn't sound like something people normally do.

For other types of video files (MPEG, etc) you need to view them from
the Watch Videos window (MythVideo).  Go to setup/?? and set up the
directory where you store videos.  Then go to setup/video manager,
which scans that directory and creates a database of files.  The files
should then be visible from Watch Videos.
