It's similar. The first patch will help the DVB effort, but the 
hdtv-recording patch currently only addresses HDTV using the ATSC 
standard, used in the USA, Argentina, Taiwan, and a few other 
countries. But there are a couple people actively working on DVB and we 
plan to merge some of the common bits. However, this call was for 
people with HD-2000 and HD-3000 cards to give these patches a workout.

FYI ATSC and DVB decoders can share the same code if implemented 
correctly, the ATSC standard makes an effort to not step on the 
toes of the earlier DVB standard.
