What kernel and distro are you running? There are some common nForce2 problems 
with some kernels relating to APIC... (Haven't followed the rest of the 
thread).

That very motherboard works great for a number of folks on the list, myself 
included. I'm sitting on about 90 days uptime on mine right now, last reboot 
was for a kernel upgrade.
