After making a version of ati_remote.c, I went ahead and
tried the
make modules
step. It first told me that my kernel didn't allow loadable modules.
(I don't believe that could be correct - they MUST be loadable.)
But then offered help, by suggesting that i type
make config
That took a very long time to get thru. I didn't want to build
a new kernel, so I skipped that step and just typed
make modules
And that too, took a very long time.
Might there be a way to make just the single ati_remote.ko module?
I see that some distributions have RPMs, but apparrantly, not FC2.
