[mythtv-users] import music dies at 1820 records. Mysql/myth question

I just put all ( 8000+) mp3's into my mythmusic directory.  Now I am 
letting myth scan it and ( I assume ) add it to the database.
It is hanging at 1820 and not progressing past 21%.

Here is the Mysql query is am running:
select count(*) from musicmetadata;

I had to kill mythfrontend to unlock it.
Can myth handle this much music?

What to do now?  Delete all record related to music and restart it?  
What sql statment will do that?  I will try that and restart it 
scanning.
