I gave up!  Basically I put it on a list of something I want to fix later.
Frankly, I think SDTV looks like crud on my HDTV anyway, and the colors
need adjusting too.  Basically I only like my HDTV for watching upsampled
DVD's from a Zenith DVB-318 and that's it.  I haven't even tried putting
up an antennae for OTA HDTV broadcasts, which I would likely do first anyway.

I don't worry much about it because my Xbox and Sony TV look so very good
playing back recordings from the PVR-250's that I haven't had the urge to
try to fix the HDTV setup... someday though...
