[mythtv-users] Strating automatic transcoding

I know I am replying to my own posts but I want to share as much
information as I can so hopefully someone will be able to help me...

I restarted the backend with '-v all' to get all the messages that I
can. The I recorded part of a show and watched what happened:

	the commercial flagging started automatically right after the show
stopped recording. After it was done, however, nothing more happened and
there were no more entries in to the logfile. At that point, I selected
the recording and started the transcoding manually. Again, nothing...
	the only entries in the log at that point were:

2004-10-03 14:52:24 Finished Commercial Flagging for "Last Comic
Standing" recorded from channel 1080 at Sun Oct 3 14:40:00 2004.  Found
1 commercial break(s). 
2004-10-03 14:52:45 1       0
2004-10-03 14:52:55 1       0

	Awfully, helpful as you as you can see! It appears that the backend is
not even trying to start mythtranscode...
