I am still unable to figure out why the automatic transcodig is not
working. According to the log, the commercial flagging goes fine but
after that nothing happens.

The only messages in the log that seem out of place are:

[mpeg2video @ 0x36ef0d0]invalid cbp at 8 10
[mpeg2video @ 0x36ef0d0]Warning MVs not available

but they are shown right before the commercial flagging entry so I am
not sure whether they are part of that or not.

As a debugging measure, I have gone back to my old ivtv drivers and I am
testing with a new recording.
