[mythtv-users] Does transcoding remove commercials?

No, the default is XVID/MPEG4 as output. I believe you can set MPEG2
manually as an option. As Matt pointed out, you have to use the cutlist
feature while watching the video to create the cutlist and the
transcoder does the rest.
