AHHH!!! I can't deal with this. Everytime i get this stupid box
working out of nowhere it just stops functioning. I had the box up
and working last night and into today I was watching live tv etc.
Then i was setting up vnc and working with my webserver so I had to
shut the frontend down so I could work on my tv since I no longer have
a monitor connected. At that point i had a difficult time shutting
the frontend down. I don't remember the specifics of what happened
but it wasn't responding. So i finally got the frontend down and did
what I needed to do on my desktop and then went to my command prompt
and started up mythtfrontend and I wouldn't start up. So i decided to
reboot to see whether or not that would help and upon rebooting my tv
screen just stays black. I am still able to ssh into my box so i know
it wasn't a kernel panic or anything like that. I didn't change any
options since i last had it working! This is just getting very
frustrating because I dont know what to do because I didn't do
anything to break it (at least that is what I think).

So my ivtv options are in the previous replies to this thread and it
did not change anything with that so I don't believe that is the
problem. I do recall when i originally tried to restart mythfrontend
from the command prompt it got to that screen where it loads the
themes and got to 99% and just stayed there (this was before i
rebooted).

Does anyone know what could have gone wrong? Or possibly some things
that I can try to fix it?

I can previde a full dmesg but there is one line that I see that makes
me wonder if it is the culprit:
ivtv: no version for "struct_module" found: kernel tainted.

this error occurs right before the Start Init ivtv line

any ideas??
