Ok so I now installed:
[root at localhost root]# rpm -qa | grep 2.6.9-1.6
kernel-module-nvidia-graphics6629-2.6.9-1.6_FC2-1.0_6629-63.rhfc2.at
kernel-module-ivtv-2.6.9-1.6_FC2-0.1.10-48.3_pre2_ck100zz.rhfc2.at
kernel-2.6.9-1.6_FC2
kernel-module-video4linux-2.6.9-1.6_FC2-20041005_125709-53.rhfc2.at
I was originally running 6111 and just figured I would do the update
while I was at it. So my modprobe.conf had a line:
alias char-major-195 nvidia-1_0-6111
So i commented that out and added:
alias char-major-195 nvidia-1_0-6629
and rebooted. From that point on I was not able to ssh into my box, it
just hung. So I booted into another kernel and changed that back. I
believe that I have everything installed but I am new to
changing/upgrading kernels and maybe i missed something.
Here is everything i have installed for ivtv:
[root at localhost root]# rpm -qa | grep ivtv
perl-Video-ivtv-0.13-6.rhfc2.at
ivtv-firmware-dec-2.02.023-4.at
kernel-module-ivtv-2.6.9-1.6_FC2-0.1.10-48.3_pre2_ck100zz.rhfc2.at
ivtv-firmware-1.8a-4.at
ivtv-firmware-enc-2.04.024-4.at
ivtv-0.1.10-48.3_pre2_ck100zz.rhfc2.at
I am sure that I am probably doing something really stupid or just
missing something
thanks
