[mythtv-users] Sound Issues

Hello All,

I know sound is a hot topic on the alias, so I searched the archives, but 
nothing seems to help.

I have 0.16 running on Debian -unstable.

I have a WinTV Go card and some sort of Cirrus Logic sound card.  The capture 
card is jumpered to the sound card and I can play sound on the system.  I can 
watch TV picture from a front end.  All the hardware appears to work, except 
the sound on watching TV.

I have followed the sound configuration section of the docs and the levels 
seem to be set up correctly.  According to AlsaMixer my sound card (Sound 
Fusion CS46xx) has a Caputre input and a Line In.  I have them both set to 
captur, but only the line in can be muted.  I have the tv capture card 
jumpered to the black jack labeled line in on the back of the sound card.

When I watch live TV on a front-end, the backend log complains about /dev/dsp. 
 I also can not run "aplay /dev/dsp".  My dsp devices exist and appear to 
have the correct permissions.  I even re-MAKEDEV'ed the dsp devices.

Help!  I can't get audio to work.  It's the last thing left to do.
