Generally, I kind of live by that myself.  Not the illegal part - well mostly.  
But its always easier to ask forgiveness than permission :)

I'll probably go the mod-chip route.  I doubt I would play XBox live anytime 
soon...  That and I have to get a remote also...  phooey.
