[mythtv-users] Ok Upgraded from apt-get to CVS...

Everything works except for the remote... How do I get lirc to work with 
my hauppauge 250 remote.
Steps so far:
installed apt-get mythtv
uninstalled apt-get mythtv
followed upgrade to cvs steps @ 
http://www.mythtv.info/moin.cgi/UpgradeToCvsHowTo
so lirc is still installed from the apt-get install
What do I do next? Commands would be great!
