[mythtv-users] Error using PVR350 hardware decode: VIDIOC_QUERYCAP: Inappropriate ioctl

I am upgrading my system to 2.6 (Fedora 2) using
Jarod's guide. I have run into a problem with the
PVR350 output. The output is choppy. This is inspite
of 'Use the PVR350's tv out' being switched on.

Mythfrontend reports the following errors:-
...
VIDIOC_QUERYCAP: Inappropriate ioctl for device
VIDIOC_G_STD: Inappropriate ioctl for device
...
* Couldn't find Xv support, falling back to non-Xv
* MythTV performance will be much slower since color
...

I have googled on this error and searched various
lists (ivtv/myth) without avail.

Curiously the PVR350 framebuffer is working perfectly.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Julian.
