[mythtv-users] HD-3000 and PVR-350 on an Asus A7N8X-E

There's been some progress, but it's not working, yet.
First the details, then a question at the end.

Fedora Core 2, kernel 2.6.8-1.521.

I installed the HD-3000 in PCI Slot 2 - not detected.

Removed the PVR-350, HD-3000 still not detected.

Moved the HD-3000 to the slot where the PVR-350
was located (slot 5), and it WAS detected and configured.

The file, /etc/modpdobe.conf, updated at config-time,
still had ivtv stuff in it. I removed the ivtv lines and re-booted.

None of the tools do anything. For example, dtvsignal types
out its little preamble, then is silent. Same with atscpackets.
Only dtvscan does very much, listing channel numbers from
2 through 70.

Here is the part of /var/log/messages that seems relevant:
Note there are some(4) errors written to the log, but I don't
know what they mean, nor what to change to eliminate them.

Now, the question:

Do you have this combination of motherboard(A7N8X-E Deluxe)
and HD-3000, and are you having more or better luck?

If so, how'd you do it?
