Further playing has revealed (for those that come across this in the future):

This is the Short name of the network ie Seven/Ten/ABC in Australia or
BBC1/BBC2/ITV in the UK or NBC/ABC/Fox in the US etc.

> XMLTV ID - Where do I find this?
This is important for tying the station to the TV guide.  In AU, it
should be something like freesd.Brisbane.10.d1.com.au or
freesd.Brisbane.7.d1.com.au, which means Free Standard
Definition.Brisbane Area.Channel 10.From D1.com.au etc.

I found that in AU, all DVB-T cards have the following standard options:
Bandwidth = 7
QAM = 64
Mode = 8kHz
Hierachy = NONE
Inversion = OFF.

Hope this helps somebody in the future.
