[mythtv-users] Zap2it Subscription

After all that talk about Zap2it some of you seemed to speak very closely the language I just received from a Zap2it (aka Tribune Media Services, TMS) representative. I called because I wanted to know the cost associated with a requested subscription. I received a return call. Without getting into details, the call concluded with a distinct direction from Zap2it. They seem to want to do business and are offering the free service to identify extended business models that currently do not fit the model for which they sell att. Resonating very closely to what is read on their web site. Mythtv users are participating in THEIR research and may likely need to consider another avenue should the transfer of funds for such service occur. When will this happen? I do not know. I will say this, much akin to business a need has been created, now go get your fix. TV is good for you.
Ultimately I believe they will be charging. I think the pricing model for services that are offered from Tivo and the like will be similar to what one might expexct for home use. Protecting this service from use at the small business level may be their biggest challenge.
