First, what version do you run? When I installed MythTV several months ago, 
the 'stable' nvram-wakeup release was about a year old. Downloading the CVS 
version and installing it helped.

(I just checked and there seems to be a new release dated 22 May 2004, tried 
that one? http://sourceforge.net/projects/nvram-wakeup )
