[mythtv-users] Is the GUI slow for everyone or just for me?

For me, the GUI is pretty fast, except for the "delete recording"
option which seems to be excessively slow. The confirmation dialog is
still displayed during this period, so the user typically keeps
pushing OK, thinking the first push wasn't received, and finds the
events are queued up and processed after the delete recording
operation finishes.

This can be very annoying.

Sometimes the delete recording operation can cause the backend to
crash, causing the frontend to freeze requiring everything to be
restarted. I cannot reproduce this problem on demand though, so I
can't provide debugging information :-(. It is possible it is somehow
related to automatic commercial detection (which I have disabled for
now).
