After failing to get the ActiSys 200L working, I bought a redremote 
serial. http://www.redremote.co.uk/serial/    uses the 9 pin port I'm 
affraid. Downloaded their driver 
http://www.redremote.co.uk/serial/red_eye.tgz  followed the 
instructions, and was up and running within minutes.
