Thanks for the replys.
Dan, since you have the same box, I have a few questions for you:
I've updated channel.pl as you suggested.
Only problem is, I can't get the actisys to change channels on my Samsung receiver (before and after the select to ok update).
It appears that nothing is being sent (nothing that the box can understand at least), as no activity is seen on the DirecTV box (I've got the actisys about 3 feet away).
- Are you using the Samsung SIR-S300W config file (copied to /etc/remoted.conf) that came in the lirc config file bundle?
- If you run remote_irw, can you see the button presses?
I'm pretty stumpted at this point, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Dave
I have the same box and another thing I had to do was edit channel.pl so
that instead of sending SELECT after sending the channel, it would send OK.
The remoted.conf doesn't define a SELECT button (plus there isn't one on the
DirecTV remote).
Dan.

Never mind, I found the solution to this problem shortly after I posted.
Had to change $remote_name in channel.pl to the name in remoted.conf.
Still can't get the Actisys to change channels, but at least I made some
progress.
Hopefully this will help someone else out!
Thanks
Dave
