Well I have Twinhan VisionPlus working with 2.4.25 + patches + patches. (2.6.6 is build in support) You can get a lot of free programing, but paid programing would need to decrypted, there is software under windows, but I don't know if you can find anything for linux. The card I have is less than 89 and comes with usb infrared reciver but does not do mpeg 2 decoding, so it has been done in software. There is Hauppauge DVB card that is expensive but has mpeg2 decoder, but if you have PVR 350 you could use it to decode DVB signal crypted with nagravision need to be first decrypted

I see a lot of talk about DVB and until now I haven't really thought much about it. Living in the US is probably the reason why I haven't paid much attention but I'm curious what type of equipment is necessary to receive DVB and capture it with MythTV? What should I expect for broadcasting in the US (northeast) and what types of fees are associated? I currently use DirecTV.

  Thanks, Mark.
