[mythtv-users] PVR-250MCE and Jarod's guide

Greetings All,

I just took the plunge and built my first myth box and I like what I've
seen, but I can't get everything working together. I've tried
installing KnoppMyth (excellent distro), and had problems getting the
X10 Lola remote working, then I wiped everything and followed Jarod's
guide (also excellent), but I get as far as the ivtv install and I get
the problem where ivtv hangs when I try to load the ivtv module (#
/sbin/modprode ivtv). I noticed that the ATrpms are for version 1.9 of
ivtv and the only way I've seen that people can get the PVR-250MCE
working is with the 1.10pre2 build of ivtv. If I try to compile the
1.10pre2 drivers against the ATrpms kernel source, I see all sorts of
errors (which I don't have in front of me, sorry)

Has anyone been able to get this configuration (PVR250-MCE and X10 Lola
remote) working with either KnoppMyth or the Fedora Core/ATrpms distros?
I personally really like the Fedora Core install, so that would be my
preference, though if KnoppMyth is the only way, I'll use that instead.

Thanks in advance for taking the time,
Paul
