I have a setup with a Motorola DCT2000, well actually 2600 but I am using
the IR commands for the DCT2000 which are the same. For now I am using the
Hauppage grey remote that came with my PVR350. I use the S-Video connectors
which provide a better picture.

Correct.

Here again I wouldn't spend money on any fancy video card. Rather buy the
PVR350 and configure your setup so that it uses the TV-out on the PVR350
instead of your video card. You can send the X output to the PVR350 as
well...

Since you only have one digital box, one decoder card will suffice. If you
add the second one, you will either have to rent/buy another digital box to
use it or be content to watch only the analog channels through your second
card.

It is my oppinion that buying an IR blaster is a waste of money, since you
can build an IR transmitter yourself, and it will only cost you a few
dollars. Also be aware that the IR blaster is not compatible with all the
cable/satellite boxes, so you are also running the risk of your IR blaster
becomming obsolete if you ever change your cable/satellite decoder.
