[mythtv-users] Newbie who would like to be introduced to resources !!!

hey now. 

I just started looking into MythTV amd Freevo.

I believe MythTV is further along so I'm going to apply myself to
understanding mythTV and everything needed to make this baby purr.

I know very little about Linux, but I have worked with PC's in general for
10 years , and I am now completing my 2nd Associates degree in
Networking/A+/Database. (1st Associates degree is in electromechanical
systems, so I am a Geek at heart)

In other words I have some game, just not much Linux. I have booted up a
version of Redhat before.

Should I be worried about my Linuxless-ness, or should I relax and feel
assured that I will get it, and understand it semi-easily.

Could some of you be kind enough to point me to some resources that could
really get me up to speed with what I should learn. Perferably with easy to
understand information

I see so many configurations and code snippets I'm afraid I will end up
tearing my hair out before I understand this stuff enough.
