There's a little more to it than that. OTA HD uses 8VSB modulation, cable uses
QAM. Most HD tuners only support one or the other, and the only viable HDTV
tuner for Linux only supports 8VSB. Even an "unencumbered ATSC" signal over
cable isn't going to help you, until you come up with a card that supports
QAM.
Long story short, you aren't going to get the HDTV signal from Comcast onto
you Myth box anytime soon, if ever. For reference, I have both a pcHDTV card
and Comcast with a DCT5100 HD cable box.
