[mythtv-users] Almost finished.

This past weekend I setup my MythTV box. Using Jarod's guide, which was
great! I also used his guide to set up my new Radioshack remote... which
works great too.

I also have the box changing channels on my directv sony dss system.

One of the main problems I had was getting sound to work when using
mplayer for watching a dvd or a ripped video.  After much hair pulling
troubleshooting I found that there was a /home/mythtv/.mplayer/config that
was causing all my problems. That file was telling mplayer to use the
spdif output... which I didn't have!!!  Anyway I am felling the joy on dvd
playback now.

Everything seems to be working great now except for when I record anything
off of the directv hbo channels.  It is the weirdest thing.  I can record
shows back to back for hours with no problem but once I start recording
channel 501, 504 or any of those channels, myth gives me a black screen
with jittery sound.  Same thing happens if I try to watch one of the hbo
channels     live.

Then If I go back to another channel it works fine.  I have searched and
searched the archives and can't find anything for a problem like this.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.
