[mythtv-users] Audio/video choppy on digital channels

All,

            I am running mythtv 0.14 running on a AMD 2400 using a
PVR-250 as my capture card and a G-Force4 MX440 as my output card.

Whenever I try to watch/record Cox digital cable channels (HBO, Encore
etc) the audio and video after a while (5 - 15 minutes) gets very choppy
for a brief period and then clears up only to repeat a few minutes
later.

Exiting out to the myth menu will clear it up for a bit
however it will always come back.

The odd thing is that it never happens with the analog
channels (History,TNT,USA etc..)

Running top when it occurs and when it does not occur. I am
unable to come up with any data that could suggest a possible bottle
neck. System cpu load is between 88 and 100 idle wait times are low..

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go to help me resolve this
problem?

Thanks

Dave
