[mythtv-users] PVR-250 MCE Not Working Following Jarod's Guide

I'm hoping someone here can help me out... I'm not quite sure what is going
on. I have had no issues with my installation (including ALSA setup for SPDIF
support) up until step 11 -- installing the capture card driver.
OK, first I grabbed the ivtv-firmware-2.02.023-3.at.src.rpm from the ATRPMs
website and built and installed it without any problems. I followed the next
two steps to download the necessary IVTV files which both install fine. I
inserted the necessary text (from Jarod's documentation) into the
/etc/modules.conf as well. However, when I try '/sbin/depmod -a', I receive
the following error:
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in
/lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2174.nptl_37.rhfc1.at/kernel/arch/i386/kernel/powernow-k7.o
Towards the beginning of the HOWTO, there is a note that these errors can be
disregarded, so I continued with the next command (/sbin/modprobe ivtv) and
the following appears:
/lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2174.nptl_37.rhfc1.at/updates/drivers/media/video/ivtv.o:
init_module: No such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including
invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
/lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2174.nptl_37.rhfc1.at/updates/drivers/media/video/ivtv.o:
insmod
/lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2174.nptl_37.rhfc1.at/updates/drivers/media/video/ivtv.o
failed
/lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2174.nptl_37.rhfc1.at/updates/drivers/media/video/ivtv.o:
insmod ivtv failed
At this point, I'm not sure what to do. The card is being seen by the OS, and
I'm somewhat new to using Linux. If anyone can offer any help, I would
greatly appreachate it. I've included some system specs below just in case
they might help.
AMD XP2600+ running on a Chaintech 7NIF2 with 512MB DDR (Dual Channel)
160GB Segate Hard Drive, MSI DVD-ROM, Sound Blaster Live! and Hauppague
PVR-250 MCE card (Heatsink says NTSC/NTSC-J, 28552 Rev 8123).
Thanks again; I hope I can get this issue resolved quickly and get my Myth box
up and running.
