Hi,
I'm using GDM auto-login for the mythtv user with an .xsession file,
and the .fvwm2rc from the mythtv distribution. This is convenient as I
can interrupt the auto-login and instead login with a gnome session if
I need to monkey around with it.
My .xsession file:
#!/bin/sh
export LANG=en_US.UTF-8
fvwm &
irxevent & # you don't need this if you compile myth with lirc support
x0rfbserver & # for remote keyboard control
/usr/bin/mythfrontend
-sam
