If I had it to do all over again, I would get the nvidia and the 250.

Well, I just bought one about a month ago, and it "works" with the ivtv 
driver.

My suggestion, based on my experience, is to either a) get the 350 + an 
nVidia TV card and use the nVidia until the ivtv drivers are more 
robust, or b) get a 250 and an nVidia TV card.
